East Central Railway ECR Patna Act Apprentices 2025





 Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) of East Central Railway (ECR) announced a significant opportunity for aspiring apprentices. They have opened 1,154 apprenticeship positions across various divisions. The application window is open from January 25 to February 14, 2025. Interested candidates should apply online through the official RRC ECR website.

 Divisions and Available Trades

The apprenticeship slots are distributed among several divisions under the East Central Railway. These include Danapur, Dhanbad, Sonpur, Samastipur, and Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya divisions. Candidates will have the chance to train in trades such as Fitter, Welder, Electrician, and more. This training aims to provide hands-on experience under skilled professionals.

 Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for these positions, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Educational Qualification: Candidates should have passed the 10th class (Matriculation) or its equivalent under the 10+2 system from a recognized board. They must have secured at least 50% marks in total. Additionally, an ITI certificate in the relevant trade issued by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) or the State Council for Vocational Training (SCVT) is mandatory.

     Age Limit: Applicants must be at least 15 years old and should not exceed 24 years of age as of January 1, 2025. Relaxation in the upper age limit is provided for certain categories:
    • SC/ST candidates: Relaxation of 5 years.

    • OBC candidates: Relaxation of 3 years.

    • Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): 10 years (UR), 13 years (OBC), and 15 years (SC/ST).

    • Ex-servicemen: Age relaxation equivalent to total military service plus 3 years.

       Application Process

Candidates must submit their applications online through the official RRC ECR website within the specified timeline. The application process involves several steps:

  1. Registration: Visit the official RRC East Central Railway website at rrcrail.in. Register by entering the required personal details and ensuring accuracy.

  2. Application Form: Complete the online application form and upload the necessary documents, including educational certificates, ITI certificates, and other relevant documents.

  3. Application Fee: Pay the application fee using a debit/credit card or net banking.

  4. Submission: Submit the form and note the registration number for future reference.

  5. Print Application: Download and print the completed application for your records.

     Selection Process

The selection process is based on a merit list prepared by taking the average of the percentage marks obtained by the candidates in both Matriculation and ITI examinations. Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification to confirm their eligibility. After document verification, a medical fitness test will be conducted to ensure the candidates are fit for the training. It's important to note that completing this apprenticeship training does not guarantee a job in the railways.

 Stipend

Selected apprentices will receive a stipend during the training period as per railway regulations. The exact amount of the stipend will be communicated to the selected candidates during the training process.

 Training Details

The apprenticeship training will be conducted in various units and divisions of the East Central Railway. It's important to note that this training does not guarantee employment in the railway sector upon completion.
